- 6.30pm - 8pm, Launch of Festival Programme at Navan Town Council. Official launch of the Shamrock Festival.
- 8pm-9pm, Presentation and historical talk at Navan Town Council. Story of the forgotten Irish who fought and died in WW1 - Ruth Illingworth NUI Maynooth. Presentation to Ledwidge Cottage Museum
- 9pm, Night of Ceól, Craic agus Scéaltaí at The Lantern Watergate St. Honour our shamrock in the home of the shamrock
- 9pm, Irish Country Music at Knights Public House Watergate St. Patrice.
Thursday 11th March
- 10.30-12.30, Céili Mór at Navan Community Centre. Open to members of the active retirement group and invited guests
- 11am, Children’s Puppet Show at CYWS Hall Fairgreen. Open to all children up to Primary School age
- 11.30am Book launch at Navan Library. Bestselling chick-lit author Sarah Webb.
- 8pm, Oíche Ghaelach at Paddy Fitzsimons. Ceól, Cáint agus Craic
- 9pm, Fionn Mac Cumhail Table Quiz at The Stonehouse. Have You Tasted the Salmon of Knowledge?
Friday 12th March
- 9am-6pm, French Market at Civic Plaza Kennedy Road. Le Marché de France European Market
- 6pm, Comhaltas Ceóltoirí Éireann at Navan Shopping Centre. Come , Listen and Enjoy
- 9pm, Traditional Music Session at Brady’s, Ludlow St. Live Music
- 9.30pm, Stephen Fox at Newgrange Hotel Rowley’s Bar. Live Music
- 9pm, Rock / alternative music live for your entertainment at The Backroom, Lantern, Watergate St. RedTwelve + The Whatmans + The Candides
Saturday 13th March
- 10.30am, Junior Meath Writers’ Circle at Navan Library. Meath Junior Writers Circle perform their latest compositions.
- 9am-6pm, French Market at Civic Plaza Kennedy Road. Le Marché de France European Market
- 2pm, Navan Fire Station Open Day at Navan Fire Station, Kells Rd. Climb aboard a Fire Engine & use a hose or ladder. May have some free smoke alarms to give away
- 6pm, McFadden’s Fairground Amusements at Fairgreen. Open late
- 8pm, Lighting of ceremonial torch at Hill of Tara. The torch will then be carried back to Navan to light St Patrick’s Fire to herald the arrival of the Navan Personality of the Year
- 9pm, Below the Belt Vincent Reilly at Newgrange Hotel Rowley’s Bar Club Bar. Live Music
- 9pm, Navan Personality of the Year in Association with Navan Town Council at The Stonehouse. Dinner in honour of the people nominated and to award the Navan Personality of the Year
Sunday 14th March

- 2pm, Walking historic tour of the Hill of Tara at Hill of Tara. Historic Tour of Tara with a look at its flora and fauna

Monday 15th March

- 8pm, Multi-denominational religious service at St Mary’s Parish Church. Hosted by Fr Declan Hurley Cannon John Clarke and featuring Meath County Council Choir and Gospel Music
- 9pm, Karaoke night at Knights. Come and sing your heart out!
- 9pm ,Trad and acoustic session at Bermingham’s Ludlow St. Pre-Paddy’s Day Music Session Musicians welcome

Wednesday 17th March, St. Patrick’s Day
- 10am, Historical Talk at CYWS Fairgreen. Talk on the history of St Finian’s Terrace and of St Patricks Academy from 1800-1932 Commentary by Vincent Mulvaney
- 11am, Aifreann as Gaeilge at St Mary's Catholic Church Fairgreen. Preceded by the Navan Forrester's Band
- 9-6pm,French Market at Civic Plaza Kennedy Road. Le Marché de France European Market
- 12 pm, McFadden’s Fairground Amusements at Fairgreen. Open til late
- 12pm, ‘Paddy’s FunCycle’ High Nelly Leisure Cycle Ride at Teach na Teamhrach formerly the Balreask Arms Trim Road. Open to all cyclists with bikes. Traditional 1940's and 50's dress would be nice but not essential. In aid of Navan Mental Health
- 12pm, Cornmarket Fair at Cornmarket/ Church Hill. Art and Craft Market, Arts and Crafts Workshops, Face painters and much much more
- 2-4pm, Kennedy Road Fun Centre at The Civic Plaza Kennedy Road. Mini Go-Karts, Bouncing Castles, Mini Fun-Fair, Kids Karaoke for Primary School ages
- 2pm, Live Music On Stage @ the Civic Plaza, Kennedy Road. Traditional and contemporary music live from the Stage (outside Singer shop)
- 2pm, Trimgate Street Fun Centre at Trimgate Street. Bouncy Castles, Ice-cream van and many other attractions
- 3pm, Arrival of St Patrick at Andy Brennan Park. He will come by motorboat surrounded by a flotilla of boats up the Ramparts. He will then proceed to the Enterprise Centre by horse and cart to be Grand Marshall of the Parade
- 4pm, Traditional Street Parade. Starting at the Enterprise centre(same route as last year). Featuring a multinational gathering, our community groups, local marching bands and a few surprises thrown in...ending in the Market Square
- 5.30pm- 6.30pm, Post Parade Children's Disco at The Newgrange Hotel. Only for those who took part in the St Patrick’s Day Parade. A meeting point for Parents
- Evening, ‘Coscáin’ followed by live music at Knights. ‘Coscáin’ after the Parade and then at 10pm Live music throughout the night
- Dusk, Firework Display at Andy Brennan Park Athlumney. Not until dusk
- 7pm, Electric Traditional Band at Ryans. Willing Fools
- 9 pm, Live Music at Newgrange Hotel Rowley’s Bar . Live Music
- 10pm, Popular Rock Group Live at Ryans. Fifth Element
- 9pm-11.30pm, Céilí Mór and old time dancing at Ardboyne Hotel. Adm €5 MC Peader Farrelly & friends. Proceeds to Haiti
- 9pm, Hooley at Teach na Teamhrach (Balraesk Arms). Adm €10 Hosted by Navan Road Cycle club & friends . Proceeds to Meath Mental Health

Promotional Events Planned
- The streets of our town will be covered in green and gold bunting
- Fairground attractions will be available to all in our Fair Green
- There will be a prize awarded by Festival Committee to the best dressed green shop window display
- Signs reflecting that a festival is taking place in the town will be erected on all approach roads
The Festival Committee hope the whole town of Navan play their part in celebrating our National Holiday by taking part in some of the events or by coming out to show their support.
