Every year we invite groups and organisations to join the parade to proudly march around Navan town. With this year being no exception we invite anybody and everybody that are a part of a charity, non profit, voluntary organisation, sports club or school; to contact us to arrange entry.
Parade entry for the above categories is totally free of charge.
Surely the time and attention to detail spent from working groups on the fantastic floats we see each year is the very essence of any St Patrick's day parade. Again we invite all groups and businesses to enter a float. We have great prizes for the best (non business)
Sole traders and small businesses are more than welcome to join us at the festival. Whether you sell sweets or your crafts the parade offers a great opportunity to earn some extra cash. Places are limited each year so be sure to book your place early to avoid disappointment.
As usual we will endeavour to produce what is at this stage the biggest and brightest show of floats, arts, crafts and imagination for St Patrick's Day in Co. Meath but yet again for us this will be a very challenging process which is why we appeal for YOU, the people of Navan to become involved directly in our organisation.
So what's in it for you?
Get your very highly sought after high viz vest (OK their not that sought after but be flattered! it’s still yours)
Get Steward training (you never know when this will come in handy again)
Get a letter of training and recognition (an excellent addition to your CV)
Get to make new friends and contacts
Feel rewarded for having contributed to your community
Each year we have lots of businesses that jump at the chance to advertise themselves at the parade. From farm machinery to plumbers and lots more in between.
Parade entry for businesses is charged at a standard rate, get in touch for more info.
The set up and running of the festival are always subject to funding. Over the past few years we have been really struggling to make the ends meet that are necessary for a successful festival. Donations no matter how small are very welcomed just as ideas for fundraising events are.
If you or your group have an idea for fundraising or you would like to make a donation please get in touch with us.
We are currently seeking public opinion for the nomination of this years Grand Marshal.
This much coveted role can be filled by anybody and as usual we will carefully consider all candidates.
Ideally a nominee should be somebody that has given outstanding contributions to your town / community in any capacity.
Just send us a message on facebook or get in touch through the website below & please supply the reasons you are nominating this person by listing some of their achievements and contributions to the community.
This year we have decided to launch the festivities with our annual firework display which will take place in the Blackwater Park on the 16th at 7:PM. This is a great one for the kids and adults alike.
THE BING BANG
AN OPEN DAY AT THE STATION
This event is always a cracker for the kids and the adults.
